STEPS OF THE HYPNOSIS SESSION

A classic (medical / clinical) hypnosis session has a few structured steps.

It generally starts with a preliminary talk. This part of the hypnosis session is very important. Here you can describe your concern or problem but also present your possible idea of a solution to your problem. I pay particular attention, apart from the content of your request, also to the quality of your experience, i.g. how you experience your concern / problem or your wording expressing it which can help us not only to understand your concern, but also to discover your resources and to work out a "what instead?". This part of the hypnosis session can be somewhat time consuming depending on the problem presentation and can therefore last between 30 min. up to 60 min. Therefore, hypnosis sessions, especially at the first session takes 90 min. up to 120 min.

The actual hypnosis begins with a so-called induction which creates a relaxed state (known as trance) focused on inner images and experiences. This condition can vary in experienced depth. This is normal and even desirable for working with the subconscious.

The next step is the utilization or utilization of the trance state. In doing so, the jointly developed resources and objectives are introduced into the trance state in different ways. Through this altered state of consciousness, these resources and the "what instead?"  experience can lead to the desired change processes.

During the reorientation, your attention is gradually accompanied by your inner world of experience back into the "outer" world.

At the end of the session, the experiences will be discussed if necessary and still open questions answered.

A successful hypnosis session is always the result of good collaboration between therapist and patient.
